About me

Hello.

My name is Kate and I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. I work part-time in the NHS and I work 1 evening a week in private practice.

As a Clinical Psychologist, I believe in the importance of helping others to realise their full potential. I believe in helping people to realise and use their voice, to better understand themselves and the people around them, and to work towards living in the most authentic way they can.

I have now worked in a range of roles in mental health and clinical research settings since 2008, and as a qualified Clinical Psychologist in the NHS since 2021. I have worked with people of all ages, at different stages of their lives.

My main therapeutic approaches lie in two camps – compassion and relational focused. This means that I tend to draw on therapies including Compassion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Psychodynamic Interpersonal Therapy, relational, and trauma-informed therapies. My main approach will blend different aspects of these therapies, but will ultimately be tailored to you and your needs from therapy.

Please get in touch if you would like to book in for a free 15 minute therapy consultation to see if we could be a good fit together.
